Here at Carlton Colville you will find a museum unique to the last detail, for this is the only place in the British Isles where visitors can not only view but also ride on all three principal forms of public transport from the earlier part of the 20th century.
Once inside the museum there is so much to see and do that you’ll want to stay all day.

Whether you take a ride on the Woodland Tramway or experience the silence and comfort of the Trolleybus service, there is a new discovery to be made every minute. Or why not soak up the real atmosphere of the past with a walk along our period street - complete with authentic street furniture. There is also ample opportunity to view the many vehicles in the museum collection, and see how these are being restored to their former glory.

The large museum collection includes a wide range of  vehicles from many towns and cities mainly within the eastern counties of England.  Buses, trams, trolleybuses, cars, vans, lorries, steam-rollers, and a wide range of other light commercial vehicles form the backbone of our fascinating collection, many vehicles of which are presented in one of the museum's display buildings.  This is complemented by other interesting vehicles and transport-related artefacts gathered from around the country, and indeed the world ensuring that there is really something that appeals to everyone.
