BRISTOL LODEKKA LFL57
GOES TO THE BUSWORKS FOR RESTORATION
A few years ago now our local bus operator, First Eastern Counties, were in the process of disposing of their small heritage fleet and we were lucky enough to be given LFL57 at no cost to add to our collection. Since then the vehicle has been an active and busy member of our fleet and last season we realised the fact that it has had no real work done on it for many years, other than the odd 'patch up job' here and there was beginning to show. With this in mind, we decided that it was high time we spent some money on the bus and drew up a list of the more major tasks that were required - all bodywork related. So, arrangements made, in early August LFL57 made the journey to Blackpool to the premises of The BusWorks for some well earned TLC.
Whilst we knew that The BusWorks had built themselves an impressive reputation in the relatively short time they have been established for both the standard of their work and their levels of customer care, we were amazed when only after a couple of days photos of the work underway on 57 started to appear by email. So you can watch progress at the same time as us, we will continue to post the pictures as they arrive...
